California Cut Flower Commission Announces
the American Floral Trends Forecast™ 2008-2009
On www.ccfc.org

(Ovid, MI) People are used to hearing about trends in fashion, home decor and cuisine, but trends in flowers? "Yes, flowers do go in and out of style and what is considered chic is constantly evolving," explains Janice Wills, Program Coordinator for the California Cut Flower Commission.

Savvy retail florists and designers who want to stay on the cutting edge of floral trends have a new tool to help them do just that. The California Cut Flower Commission and Flower PR are partners in the launching the electronic version of The American Floral Trends Forecast™ 2008-2009, a free-to-use tool found at CCFC.org, the official web site of the California Cut Flower Commission. Floral retailers can purchase booklets by calling (916) 441-1701. The price is $10 for 25 booklets.

The American Trends Forecast™ tool offers retailers and consumers ideas for combining colors, types of flowers, and accent pieces to create holistic designs that reflect broader lifestyle trends in a changing world. Visitors can see this highly acclaimed program at http://www.ccfc.org/trends.html.

"This added feature secures CCFC.org as one of the finest websites in the industry," said William R. Carlson, President of Flower PR, LLC, the company that designs and hosts www.ccfc.org. "This website section adds value to CCFC's acclaimed program that supports growers, retailers and consumers."

"Our goal in this project was to take the fantastic materials developed by designers and add a little animation which compliments the stunning ideas and photography," added Carlson. "Consumers and floral retailers will now have an opportunity to be exposed to the principles behind the designs."

About the CCFC: The California Cut Flower Commission is the only organization of its kind serving the U.S. floral industry. Funded and directed by nearly 300 growers, its objective is to enhance the performance of the California cut flower and cut greens industry, from production to consumer marketing.
